In early April the piano students at the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County received a generous donation from the folks at the Lang Lang International Music Foundation. Included were all five levels of the concert pianists new Faber piano method books. Students have already began digging into level 1 of “The Lang Lang Method”, completing various exercises and enjoying the fresh new take on learning the piano. When asked what they liked most, the students spoke of the wonderful artwork and the focused use on each hand. They have all spoken to how much easier it is to understand some of the same techniques they’ve already been working on throughout the year from a new perspective.
So far their favorite piece to play is Lang Lang’s arrangement of “Ode To Joy” which they plan to perform in a short recital next month.. Joshua and his students would like to personally thank Lang Lang, Megan from Cami Music, and his foundation for working to help make this possible! Below are pictures of some of Joshua’s brightest students in action.
