Moving a piano can seem complicated at first. However, it’s pretty simple. There’s the option to move it yourself, and then there’s enlisting the help of a professional (I suggest this, by the way).
To help keep things simple, I’ve created this simple cost to move a piano calculator. Input your data, and it’ll give you a rough estimate of what you can expect to spend.

Before making the move, it’s important to know how much it costs. These can vary depending on what type of piano you’re planning to move, the distance, and other costs like going up steps.
This calculator takes all of that into account, and I’m sure it’ll be helpful to you as you figure out what the general expenses are.
To give you an idea of how it works, it factors in around $10 per step taken, and also the type of piano in the overall moving cost. The biggest factor is, of course, the distance. Most short to medium moves will cost around $500. Beyond 2000 miles and you can expect the costs to rise significantly. This cost calculator takes all of that into account.
